Filtering Poo Tea

I know that you're suppose to filter out stuff when using poo tea, can I use Coffe filters? Or is there something better that I'm not thinking of? I've got a lot of poo tea to filter...: /

I would just take an old towel/pillow case or something. soak it and the  poo tea wich comes out is kinda filtered. The few small pieces of straw and shit are good! :thumbup:

nice idea about soaking the grains in the poo tea.

but if someone were to do it, i'd advise to soak it in the water
you get after the pasteurisation, not just water with poo inside,
as this water may contain ammonia from the pee.

but besides that, i can clearly see that poo-water soaked grains
could really do good :smile:
maybe try that next time i got some spawn ready and report
to the omc how colonisation is going.

yeah take ammonia free dung rinse it, and catch the draining water. I dont think pasteurisation gets rid of the ammonia!

After pasteurisation I've used poo tea as cake water.Had more contam but the ones that made it had bigger fruits.Need to do more than one run to know forsure.

Will use to soak wbs after I get this green thing under control.Can't wait for hepa filter to get here for flow hood.Working in a box is a bitch unless it's my bitchs box.

I'ma use it to soak my grains in and then probably case with the poo.

I've seen nice fruits from poo-tea-ed grains, not as big as using compost and dung as subs. but it is a bit bigger than jus ordinary wbs soaked in water.

Coffee filters might even filter it down too far. If their is some sediment, thats not a big deal. A metal-mesh "permanent coffee filter" works great for stuff like this. T-shirt, cheesecloth, etc.

But if you PC the poo tea together with your substrate, you shouldnt get more contam, in theory.......
