Terrarium question and semi related question

I recently decided to grow some shrooms and am in the process of building my terrarium. I attached a 12 inch fluro via velcro to the lid. The light btw was purchased at Meijer for $7.99 and can be operated by 8 AA batteries or a AC adaptor that is not included.
I turned the light on and to my dismay the blue colored rubbermaid bin was glowing like crazy. I'm trying to keep things as stealth as possible and this just wont do. I was thinking of just spray painting the inside with a few layers of black paint, but I dont want it to be all sticky. Any suggestions?
Also, My terrarium will use perlite for humidification along with daily mistings and fannings to keep the humidity up and the air fresh. Now I've heard many times do not mist your cakes directly. How would I avoid this? I was thinking just aiming the spray bottle away from the cakes toward the corner or something but I'm not sure how good that will work. Any suggestions would be great.

Spray upward and let the mist fall on them.
And what wattage is that bulb? Sounds like a 40+.

Mushrooms are phototrophic, they dont need light to grow, just tells them where to grow and most importantly When.
So you only need a very dim light, I use christmas lights, hell, one bulb from that should suffice....But the best can be purchased at a fish store, they produce blue light, not just like a blue tint to make it blue, its blue light from the color spectrum, i forget what it's called and how much of what it is has, but it's better than blue light but not necessary...:D

Wow, how big is your terrium?
Well regardless, like I said, even 1 bulb from a christmas tree light would work, doesn't have to be bright at all, the dimmest light works.
Best of the best- Fish store blu lite.

And 6 watts shouldn't make your terrium glow, 6 watts is almost nothing
