I watch it a couple times a year. Some don't like it, they say its too dark. But it doesn't seem that way to me. I have always enjoyed it.

Jetta Jay, hasn't seen it ? Thats a damn crime....you GOTTA see this movie, Jetta. You'd probably love it. Naw i didnt download it...its on a VHS.

Anyways, the only part i though was kinda strange, was at the end. Where he was dressed as a Hitler-Type Dictator person, or whatever... The rest of the movie i loved.

Wrong. Unless by "the band pink floyd" you meant Roger Waters. But then you'd just be fuelling his egomania.

Yeah, that's a classic. I've owned the vhs for many years, one of my favorites
But I remember as a teen, we used to go to a Sat Mid. matinee, and dose and watch it. Like every weekend for a time, it was a real trip
What exactly it is about remains controversial, it is one's perception of the movie.
I know what it means
I heard on htz, Floyd was gonna reunite in '05 ?????????

:peace:

I thought it was about Syd Barret.

Yeah, I have tripped to this movie since 1992. I don't like tripping to it very much, anymore, because it makes me want to go burn down Birmingham everytime I watch it dosed. :crazy2: :crazy2: It is an absolutely awesome movie!!

Actually I read that the entire movie is an extended metaphor having to do with totalitarianism. Seems pretty weird, but I wouldn't put it past Pink Floyd to do it. Also, I thought "Shine on you crazy diamond" was about Syd Barret, is that not true?

Yes Shine on You Crazy Diamond is about Syd Barret. As was said earlier, The Wall is based mostly on the life and perceptions of Roger Waters. But of course the legacy of Barret is still present such as when, in the movie, Pink shaves his head and eyebrows. That's something that Syd Barret actually did in real life and it freaked the band out you can be sure.

Roger Waters can be a pretty depressing guy, as can be heard on the Final Cut,which probably, finally cut him out of the band.
