Tired of small mushrooms?
    #3632270 - 01/15/05 07:57 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Who here is tired of harvesting pathetic fields of shrooms from underperforming casings?  I AM!  It's bulk or bust from here on out.  Join the straw and poo revolution, or die! :laser: Mwa haha.

Here is 2 pints of GT on WBS cased normally, slacking as usual in ideal conditions.  I think this is where I go bulk or quit the hobby for awhile.  Lame.  I'm fed up.  Someone hold my hand, I'm depressed.

To find a place to live between the negatives and positives.

If you want bigger mushrooms then you need to grow them in bigger containers.
Your pinset is really nice, but they just don't have the room to grow big. If you keep the same size containers, you might try picking some of them when they first pin so that there are fewer mushrooms and those left will grow bigger.

PLUS, As agar would say, You should try compost as your Sub. and/or Dung/straw....Personally i'd go with compost (i had to leech my horse shit and then pasturize, it smelt like golfballs, not quite fun)

-Gl, and i agree, you should use aluminum pans, Big ones lol and maybe make a thicker substrate...Say 3-4 inches?
