Too much to case?
    #363193 - 07/29/01 08:39 PM (22 years, 4 months ago)

I have 10 1 pint jars of which 8 look like they'll be ready to case within a week. (to my relief, a week and half ago I thought nothing would ever happen).

My problem, I don't know if I have enough space to case them all in my ultra-discreet terrarium-in-a-sea-chest. I just have about 1 3/4 square feet to work with in which I can fit 3 6X11 (or so) tupperware thingies.

Is there a formula somewhere ( a link would be great) for how much are you should case per unit volume colonized substrate? I am thinking about putting a couple jars in an outside area if I have too much.

Any help is appreciated greatly.

Use 3-4" of substraight per casing. That will give you about 1 1/2 - 2 casings in that size of a casing pan.
