so ive taken my time doing my share of research and have decided that i know enough about what im doing to attempt to synthesize lsd. you can say that i cant do it and that im full of shit or anything, but i know what im doing. however, i was wondering what would the penalties be if i were to be caught (im in USA) and what i could to to avoid being discovered.

avoid advertising your intent to produce a schedule 1 drug on a public message board that is undoubtably watched by the government.
This comes under not telling ANYONE what you are doing.

I'd say look into the fed guidelines first. They are way steep. Like life. Oh, yeah, & I wouldn't have mentioned it here...

1. penalties are large 2. don't tell anyone, that means ANYONE, no matter what, period.
You've already made a big mistake by posting your intent on these message boards.

Yeah and then edit this post so it doesn't say what you intend on doing.

Good for you man
Go to Canada though. The US has the highest rate of prisoners in the world, and doesn't hesitate to invade privacy to get chemists like you. If you're going to mass produce it, then I recommend doing it in Canada, and flooding it until it overflows to the US.
I only found this:
"It is a crime to knowingly possess, deliver, or sell LSD. Penalties for possession include a fine up to $2,000 and/or imprisonment up to one year. Penalties for delivery include a fine up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment up to three years. Penalties for selling LSD include fines up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment up to five years. Penalties for possession, delivery, or sales of 400 micrograms or more include much heavier fines and much longer imprisonment. It is a crime to knowingly possess, deliver, or sell hallucinogenic drugs other than LSD. Penalties are very similar to those for LSD." http://www.uvm.edu/~uvmppg/ppg/student/drugandalco.html

Dont want to be rude but you think you're good enough to synthetize lsd, but stupid enough to mention it here? Next time give your phone number and adress so we can go buy some of your stuff
If you were good enough to make lsd you would be able to search the us gov site or dea site for your answer, Id say

i agree that if he knew how to make it he wouldn't need to ask but posting it here doesn't mean anything. for all you know he could be posting anonymously from a library or computer lab.
