Dreams
    #3628421 - 01/14/05 02:35 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

Okay well, for the past year or so I have not had one dream, (while im sleeping I cant recall any dreams, or when I wake)....but the other day i took shrooms, and now EVERY NIGHT I have had vivid dreams, and i can even remember them when i wake as if i actually experienced them (nothing is hazy)...

so is this a coincidence? did my last shroom trip disable my dream state and this recent one enabled it? im not even sure it stopped on my last shroom trip, but if this one did 'fix' it then thats the only thing taht makes sense...

any i deas?

As soon as I stopped smoking weed I have started being able to recall my dreams. I used to never remember them. But then again I have been using Salvia daily so it might be the Salvia.

Did you smoke weed then stop, then dream? as this always happens to me, especially after the 2nd day, if no puff is available, the dreams become very vivid and rememberal, maybe your imagination wakes up? (it is a sedative after all)

For me I have periods where I have lucid dreams like 4/7 nights a week.

Then there's periods where I won't remember my dreams for a while.

If I smoke weed before sleeping, I usually have very lucid and interesting dreams.

i have nights where my dreams are so vivid i think they are real, and some nights i don't remember them at all. i have smoked weed for a fairly long time now (i'm talking years), and it's sort of dependent upon the dream i have. some of the more strange ones are hard to forget, but the more bland and boring get tossed into oblivion or something.

take this before bed: 15g calea zacatechichi tea, 50mg vitamin b-6, 100mg 5-HTP

I almost guarantee you'll have a dream that same night. If not, try 25mg of vitamin b-6 and 50mg-100mg 5-HTP before bed for a few days.

This formula has not failed in anyone I know yet!

During periods of much weed smoking, I don't dream much. or at least I don't remember them.

Last night though, I had about 4 crazy fucking dreams.

I was chillin with Alexander Shulgin and his *imaginary* daughter - we synthe'd some chems and smoked 2ci, and discussed alien creation theories.

Im lucid most of the time.. to the point where im aware im dreaming, but not controlling my dreams. I always go through my days... hoping for the lucid state... after i got robbed last time, i fell asleep for a few hours, and i woke up in my dream and was in complete control - then i said to myself "Yes, Im lucid - lets go" and went hurdling through a dark tunnel and back into my physical reality.

i dont smoke pot - and i never dreamed when i did.

Interesting thing about dreams is that apparently, we only have 1 period of REM (dream sleep) activity per hour or so, which explains wny dreams can be so messed up - you are having several short bursts of dream sleep throughout the night, and yet your brain links these episodes together to form a 'dream' - so maybe explains why dreams can often appear so weirdly disjointed, the narrative is made up of individual dream 'bursts'

I read this years ago - can anyone expand on this at all?

No, but I know what you mean.

In alot of my dreams there seems to be a lack of continuity, scenes will change and events will occur which have no correlation or relevance to anything that has previously occured.

On another note, I've noticed that after extended periods of smoking cannabis my dreams will be more lucid (though not entirely). It's almost as if I go from being an impartial observer to a part of the dream in the sense that I can interact and think, feel, etc. This only ever occurs about 3-4 days after I discontinue use.

BF.
