When growing a straw log like the one pictured in this tek: http://mycotopia.net/discus/messages/5/30183.html?1059589094 does it have to be kept in a normal fruiting chamber with added humidity, or can it just sit in the open air in a regular bedroom under light and grow just fine????

Actually, a straw log would be treated like anything else you are trying to fruit, 95% humidity to induce pinning. Treat it like a giant cake. Letting it sit out in the bedroom would definitely not be ideal.

read the link adam posted, it can be fruited and is supposed to be fruited without a extra fuiting chamber.
seems like everybody goes 'straw log - ill just write something about it' without checking the linh he is relating to.
ofcoz there are several teks for logs, check the one in the link, it goes explicitly without a fruiting chamber. peace ohm
