Twist & pull. Sometimes you get the whole clump. Sometimes not. Sometimes the young must go with the old. That's just the way it is.

No harm in pulling the younger, more potent, ones out. More will replace them. These are similar to trees/shrubs. The more you pull, the faster the rest will grow. Until you run out of food!

Ok straight up, you can certainly surgically remove (cut out) the large ones and give the younger ones a couple more days to mature. The remaining stem section will not rot in two days so don't worry :wink: I have done this no problem :laugh: and you can take this to the bank bro! GL
