so, i was being unproductive sitting around, playing on my computer, as always, when my mom walks in, kind of disgruntled.. as always
"so, kids.. have you ever heard of the game 'Blackout?'"
i thought my brother had got a violent game and she was going to yell at me for not telling her about it.
never hearing of it, but thinking it could be a new racing game, i say "no.. are you takling about a racing game?"
"oh don't bullshit with me, i KNOW you know what it is"
so, aparantly, kids in Branford, a town a bit north of where I stay.. had tied belts around their necks to "deprive" themselves of oxygen to get a "rush" working. three kids died trying this bullshit either today or yesterday. i got yelled at about it today.
i've done retarded things to try and get high before, but this takes the cake. i've never even HEARD of this bullshit before today. do any of you actually know what it does?
what a retarded thing to do, and a hell of a way to die. trying to stay positive, i think these people deserve a darwin award. the local news channel ain't got the story on their website yet, but as soon as they do, i'll try and post a link
does this shit happen in your area ? first i've heard of it, ever.

i'm 18, almost 19.. i go to school like, 25 minutes down the road from here.
i was being sarcastic when i said she yelled at me. i get home around 3:40.. so you know, after recent events, i really don't need to be out with alot of free time on my hands.

i plan on moving out after this next semester ends, around june.. fyi :o

moms worry, if that happened here when i lived with my mom i would get the nosey worry speech.
as for living with parents....do it for as long as fucking possible! who wants to spend 90% of their paycheck on *shit* (bills/rent/car)? not me....im moving back in with my dad this winter/spring so i can have a hope in hell saving for a house....its a good life, despite the nagging

I dunno, I always just felt like such a leech once I started getting older, got a job and stuff.
I was glad to move out, granted it was a dorm, but I payd for %90 of college (against my parents will) and I felt great, I plan to pay back the other %10.
Plus I always loved living alone. It makes me feel so free. Not having to live by anyone elses rules and standards.

lol I wouldn't call it getting high though. when you wake up you feel all tingly all over than its gone in a few seconds. Rather pointless. I've done that to people saying you cant pass me out. I did it to them in a sleeper hold so no one falls busting their head or leaving the belt around the neck while they pass out.

That hurts my brain just thinking about it. Blacking out is probably around the same level as inhalants like sniffing glue and huffing gasoline, just plain ol' tunnel vision from killing massive amounts of brain cells and getting asphyxiation.
Horrible for the body, I would never try anything that got me high by ruining my brain in the literal sense.
