considering that i have ample brf jars to case by whatever method that would best suit me, what would be the ideal dimensions for a casing container? i guess i'm trying to find the balance between having an adequate substrate depth and "having all of my eggs in one basket" i had been doing two pint casings but was considering using the foil loaf pans for single pint ones... ...would that be the way to go, or should i step it up any input would help

jep thats about it. simply get a container that allows you to crumble one or two pf cakes inside for the casing, of even three its up to you. more or less any container, starting from cut open milk / orange juice packs up to solid steel tubs will do, you are free to use whatever you like peace ohm

These are great for just plain old casing of materials , they will hold roughly 2 -3 half pinters and 3-4 half pinters of casing .

if using one of these containers how should I go about sterilizing it?? im guessing a microwave, i would think a pressure cooker would melt it.

Or wash in 2% bleach solution first . Bleach kills almost everything That is all one does with the little huts , over and over till get new ones . They most deffinetly can't take heat of oven or pc , they are microwavable , but I do not trust that for sterilizing anything .

Tin-foil, 2 inches deep, as wide as the foil, as long as you want.
Just throw it away after you are done!
Ideal, would be one that gives you about 2 inches of clearance from the walls of your fruiting chamber. Helps keep the product from touching the walls as it grows.

ohm trip tick toke thanks for the replies guys i think that i am going to have some diversity in my containers if i had to use those foil pans that you can only squeeze a single pint in, i'd be doing 20+ casings god, it's time for a pressure cooker so i can bulk it

You do not want to microwave the given containers. Microwaves do not like microwaving metal tins like that!
If you want to microwave metal just use a paperclip with a glass over top for a nice show, but not a huge metal pan!
