easing the come down

I was curious as to what advice all of you have for easing the come down of mushrooms? I know that most suggest the usage of marijuana. For some odd reason, when I'm coming down, this is the last thing I want to do (weed often times makes me paranoid). Is there anything else that can be done to ease the uncomfortable feeling? Sleep, if you can get there, is probably the best.

smoke some crack. then you'll be worried about getting more, and wont care about the comedown from the mushrooms. you can also compare the 2 and, im sure you'll realize that the comedown from shrooms isnt as bad as you thought.

well...
some soothing teas can be nice... grandma's tummymint or sleepytime can be very relaxing... or a cup of cocoa...
kavakva can be very effective...
i enjoy a cordial glass of grand marnier or a small snifter of cognac, but alcohol is a matter of taste...
some niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3) can terminate much of the residual effects from psychedelics (more noticable from longer acting trips like lsd, but still a handy thing to have in your medicine kit...)(scrip tranx can be useful as well)
some people enjoy some centering physical activities such as tai chi or yoga...
a soak in a hot tub can be nice...
if your friends are in tune with it, massage can help ground things---or get 'em zooming, depends on where you are going with it... heh( but a shoulder rub or a facial, a hand or foot rub, can be friendly without needing to be erotic...)
chanting OM...
listening to msuic---bach, gregorian chants, vollenweider, paul horn, ravi shankar, pharoah sanders... whatever works for you....

This is a nice, logical question.

I suggest taking some tylenol, then hitting the sack and getting some rest. When you wake you will feel much better, the shroom after buzz will be gone, and you will be ready to start a new day.

hmmm....what uncomfortable feeling?
is this a normal feeling to have on the comedown?
i usually feel the comedown coming on and just wish it would last longer and longer =). although, i remember my first trip being a little scary towards the end due to feeling like it would never end.
is this the uncomfortable feeling?

No, that's not really the feeling at all. I just always feel exhausted, like I have been working out for a couple hours or like I just ran 3 miles. I'm also mentally exhausted. I agree that sleep is probably the best. I always feel charged and ready to go the next morning. I usually try to get atleast 9 hours of sleep after a trip.
A good point to make here is the fact that I hate a come down on any drug, whether it be alcohol or weed. I just don't feel 100%. I probably just get a little too tired.

i feel fine coming down from shrooms... usually i can just fall right to sleep.. its the acid comedown that sucks. my whole body feels kind of cramped and my head feels like it has cement in it and i usually cant get a good sleep in for like a whole day after the trip..

try doing something active..
i went to a concert on shrooms and moshed for like an hour long pantera set.. i can tell you i had no problem sleeping after that...

Ol Jim doesnt think so...

It's normal to feel exhausted during the comedown, especially after a intense trip. Just partake in anything you might find relaxing, for me it's smoking a joint with a glass of warm milk.

I find it help's to smoke a joint about one or two hours after the peak. You don't burn out quite as much after your hi again. That's just my opinion.

true, smoking helped me out a lot with acid (that is the absolute worst comedown) -- both weed and cigarettes are nice

after ecstacy i am always in a state of intense euphoria, even after the peak is clearly gone, and this happiness carries on about 2-3 days.  i love life that much more now.  with mushies i don't have a problem with coming down because i'm so exhausted that all i can think about is finally coming down and being able to go to sleep.  the unfortunate thing about ecstacy is the inhumane dose of speed that accompanies the X and keeps you from going to sleep even after coming down to baseline.  jesus i just rolled lasnight and my teeth are still clenching a little :smile:

I happen to enjoy the shroom "comedown"... It gives me a body buzz, and I am still tripping, but I can control myself a lot better.

I listen to some good tunes, or take a walk in the woods. These enhance my coming down. Eat something tasty.
