hrmm..
maybe some Uziq. that stuff always gives me a sensation of childlike curiousity.
Mogwai would be nice, too.
Nightmares on Wax - Carboot Soul that album has a very peaceful vibe to it.

I'd suggest pinback ... like 'blue screen life' on softly. Works like wonders for my little one.

just put on the radio, that's the best option imo. many different songs etc. babies like contrast in vision so maybe it's the same for sound, so radio is your best choice imo

Bust out some modern classical like Shastokavich. Trying to implant a deep rooted acceptance of all music whether socially popular and accepted or not.

butterflydawn said: Which album or song would you put on the stereo for your little baby to listen? and why? It's proven that Classical music is best for brain developement. The amount of different instruments and complexity coupled with the vibes of the music helps the brain to adjust in a way that makes it easy for them to accel (spelling???) in independance and mathmatical subjects and also art . Along with the music, make sure your childs rooms cieling is well decorated with basic shapes and colors, all mixed and matched. As a child ages it is important for them to have consistant education in all the things that surround them. A child learns easier and learns more when they are young and need your guidance. Once a child is school-aged, they will be better able to know what they like (to a point), making it more difficult for them to be influenced by the wrong people. At school-aged, a pumpkin colored room is believed to help concentration. And grey inhibits creativity.
