At least we're finally getting back into space....man shoulda been on Mars in 2003 according to NASA programme as it was in the early nineties...

Bush knows he has to get to Mars (and the moon) quick now, before others start colonising and marking out their territory...otherwise he'll have to wage another pesky war to get it off the established locals.

Hey the first interplanetary war by humans - kool! USA versus whoever settles on MArs first!

At least it's impetus to move things forward I suppose, if a little dubious.

Sounds like a waste of time and money. We have much better leads for new energy sources than that.

Personally, I think people should just start using less energy.

Why not move to England, where the price of petrol is over six and a half US dollars to the US gallon?

And yet they still suck it down at nearly the same pace that we do.

What's up with that? Don't people have to work for their money over there?

I'm converting my diesel jetta to run on vegetable oil later this year, or maybe next year. Whenever I get the money. I can produce my own fuel for $3-$4 a gallon or less if I want to, or just collect free waste oil from restaraunts... depending of course on whether we are talking pre-, or post-apocalypse.
