Whats The Deal with VERM in columbus

Why have i been to, Mijier, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, sears, Lowes in columbus and they are all like nope we dont have vermiculite. THEy took it off the shelves like its not sold out they arent carrying it????? what the hell. The chick at mijier said that mijier stopped selling it.

There was an asbestos scare a few months back with one brand of verm. Most of the big chains pulled all brands of verm off their shelves to save face. I don't know of any small garden store/nursery that doesn't carry it. It is a staple item in horticulture. Try finding an independently run nursery (or a local chain). Most national chains have stopped selling verm in most markets (although most of the stores you named that we have here in texas still carry it).

Oh man, same story here. Verm sems to have been removed from the shelves of all large stores, wonder if there really is a nationwide problem..
