My friend has 10 PF style cakes and they have started to pin. Why are the pins blueing from the start but when they get a little bigger they loose the blue color. Also we are noticing around the small caps of the pins there is a little bit of white fluff around the red caps. Is this normal?

The bluing pins suggest that you either have a humidity or gas exchange problem. Double check your humidity and make sure everything is ok there. If that checks out, increase fanning.
As for the white on the caps, it's perfectly normal.
