My Best Cake

I had a cake that never colonized, it was Equador strain on verm/brn rice all my jars took incredibly long to colonize but one never started. instead of throwing it away i just left it, it was at around day 80 when a tiny mycelium spot apeared porbbaly about a milimeter in diamater. that was about a week ago, today i checked it and it grew a pinhead. i thought there was no hope for it. it looks very funny cause you cant even see any mycelium anymore its like a jar of vermaculite with 1 shroom growin on the side of it. im just gonna let it grow inside the jar.

i just wanted to share that.

my friend has a cake with no growth, it's been almost 1 month. Thanks to your inspiring story, she told me that she will now keep the jar in hopes of one tiny pathetic mushroom that wont get her high.

Yeah - i put some excess substrate in a beer glass and innoculated, left it and i got no germination for 2 monthes - it then germinated, but by that time the substrate had hardened... this story has no point
