Crazy B+ !!!

The other day, i found a B+ cake that was about 50% colonised with some green mold popping up on a small area... I sterilised a knife and cut this bit out, then, as an example of stupidity, i dropped the cake from out of the cling wrap i was using, onto the dirty - doghair ridden kitchen floor. This flattened the cake and made me swear... I wrapped it up in wrap anyway, and put it in the incubator..
Two days later, i found that more mold had sprouted, but also that the B+ had gone mad! It was now nearly 85% - covering completely the flattened area... I opened it up again, and choped the new area of green mold off with a sterile knife, and then isolated the better end from the contam. end by chopping what was left in half... I re-Wrapped each one, noticed that one half was covered in dog hair and fluff, and left it... it is now two days, and they are both 100% despite their poor treatment - i cased them this morning and the mycelium has completely perminated these cakes - now that's resilience for you...Anyone got any similar experiences here?

i've dropped a 70% or so colonized cake on the floor before, it grew mold, i chopped it off, and it still didnt grow back... i dunno, i've had good luck with contams... i use manure most of the time too, so maybe the manure fights contams a bit... o and i toss a bit of h202 in almost everything i do...

What I don't understand is why anyone is dropping anything less than 100% colonized on the floor. Are you guys taking your half-colonized cakes out of the jars and juggling them for fun or something? Personally, if I dropped any of my mycellium on the floor I'd walk into the backyard and launch that puppy over the fence. But hey, if you can get away without getting contams, blessed be and more power to ya!

i had a jar that was only 30% colonized and when i went to loosen the jar lid a little it slipped and the whole verm layer fell out on my bed. i quickly put the lid back on and it ended up colonizing faster than the others.

i may, fucking drop something natural somewhere and it might grow into another piece of shit like you. i dont recognize any of you fucking people, youre not real, you came out of comic books.
