Good Ol' Trip Flashers

Hey everyone, I've had this proggy for a while but I thought I'd share it with everyone. It's a flasher program, and what it does is flash red/blue/green at fast speeds onto your monitor. I didn't see the amazing effects of this thing for the longest time, but trust me, it can be pretty wicked.
DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM IF YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL RISKS OR RISK EPILEPSY!!!
Simply watch the screen for a few minutes (It's good when your not tripping but AMAZING when tripping). Within minutes you will see kaleidaskopes, crazy patterns, and in your perifreal (SP? lol) the edge of the monitor and everything else often seem to wave (even when not tripping!!) I recommend throwing on your favorite trip tune (I like Pink Floyd - Ummagumma album) and just stare at this thing when your bored (definitely when tripping).
Anyhoo, here's the link. Enjoy.

Ahhh, as well, another REALLY cool affect is waving your hand in front of the screen while it's running.... you'll see something amazing...

Oh shit dude. That's pretty intense. I just looked at it for a bit and I can see that's going to be one hell of an experience.
But I have an LCD monitor (12ms refresh time) and I wonder if that affects it. I hope not =(
Have you tried BWgen? Called Brainwave Generator. It also does screen flashes.

Damn, you weren't kidding when you said wave your hand in front of it, that's so cool. It's almost like little tracers following your hand.

Whoa. i took a series of pictures following my hand over the screen - and it made defined Pink and green and yellow outlines of my hand. i figured that was a mental trick - not an optical one.
WHAT!

That is amazing! I saw some incredible visuals in just a few minutes. I especially like the pans and zooms, and the spinning cubes coming out of smoke-stacks. The brain is just struggling to make sense of that crazy, unprescedented sight. I love it!

i believe your brain can handle around 60 frames per second. 1000 ms in a second. that means your brain handles about 16ms between frames. i could be wrong, but lcd screens are fine.

if you guys wanted to write your own program like this, its probably about 10 lines of qbasic code. you could easily make something alot better with newbie qbasic skills, but very cool find.

Heh, if only I had qbasic skills of any kind... lol. I'll stick to this proggy for now haha. I love the tunneling effect I get from looking at this. Tunnels come from random corners of the screen and your mind seems to follow it for a few seconds until another tunnel emerges. Pretty awesome. Another awesome thing I seen last night was my whole monitor screen appeared to be shifting upwards, almost like it was out of the monitor! My mind is boggled

Might try this program later, while listening to some trippy presets on BWgen.
