Rena Air 100
    #3614124 - 01/11/05 06:26 PM (20 years, 9 days ago)

I bought a Rena Air 100 today. It says its good for aquariums up to 20 gallons. The Poor Man's Pod Tek has a list of different air exchange rates for different sized containers. It says nowhere on the box of any kind of exchange rate (how many gallons/hour or whatever). I'll probably be using a 10 gallon container for fruiting. If this Rena Air 100 is recommended for 20 gallon containers, is this too much?

I dunno but I almost bought this today, but I wanted to hear if it was any good. Is it a very quiet pump?

If you can change the air 3 times a hour and keep the huimidity up your fine and if it changes the air more then that even better, as long as the humidity stays up.

its the first pump ive ever bought, so i have nothing to compare it to.. if i turn it on, and walk to the other side of my room (15 ft), i can barely even hear it.. hmm it sounds like the vibrator i gave my gf for christmas.. if you know how loud those are..

i also bought a 4 inch airstone with it.. i probably didnt need that though

i just found a chart on the internet..

Aquarium Volume: 30-90 L
L/H: 120
Max Pressure (mb): 150

whether or not this is good for a 10 gallon tank to exchange the air enough is beyond me..

Radioshack supposedly has decent gauges at a good price. I have only heard this from other people....no personal experience.
