4.87 to 5.22 grams
coins are a poor way to calibrate...
Correct. That Myth states every nickel is 5.0 grams, and any bill is 1.0 gram. It's just not true. Get yourself a bag full of nickles and a really nice digital scale..watch as the numbers create an AVERAGE of 5.0 grams, with some of them coming in at 4.9 and some at 5.1
More important to note is that a scale is a unique piece of equipment in that it's name carries with it a note of truth...a scale REMAINS to scale. For example:
Put on a 10 gram weight. Perhaps your scale reads 9.9 grams. To say that 100 grams will read 99.9 is INCORRECT. What your scale is telling you is that for every 10 grams that you put on me, I am only going to tell you 9.9 grams is there.
Which means, when you throw a 100gram weight on your scale, it is going to read 99.0 grams, making it a gram off.
Often after a few good bumps, digital hand scales will read up to a few tenths of a gram off at low levels.
One more important note is that we are talking about a digital measurement here. If you add more weight, what is to say that the added weight will not set your scale's sensitive equipment off even further, disrupting your readouts even more.
Lah dee dah dah
In layman's terms, you need to go buy yourself a 100 gram weight if you are trying to calibrate your digi's...otherwise you could be seriously off when weighing larger amounts...
Just some thoughts
Peace

luckily I have a set thats certified to be exact. My scale reads from 1mg to 300 grams and even has a 200 gram certified weight that came with it.... unfortunately without the draft shield, breathing makes the scale read inaccurately

I have a $50 digital scale that I bought on ebay a few years ago. It works great and reads up to 50 grams in .01g increments.

Wow where the hell are you getting milligrams of acid I need to meet you NOW
Acid is measured in micrograms (ug) and 1 mg = 1,000 ug
According to erowid a strong dose is 150-400ug with an average dose ranging 50-150ug so if you are having people weigh out acid in milligrams you and me need to talk and damn you must have some crazy ass fucking trips
Next on the menu cocaine is not just sold in grams and is actually dangerous to do so 20mg can be fatal if injected and between 500mg and 1.4 grams is considered dangerous nasally
And the basic dose is 50mg-75mg of coke so yeah I don't want to meet the guy that measures your coke for you
Also I would not categorize mdma or lsd as research chemicals but hey whatever man just watch what you say on here people take it as truth

Yea, and every-one will learn english this year also...
(Since 80% of the net is english... 50% of that is english porn advertisements, fake sites willing to take your money to show you 100 pics of some ugly chicks, and one hot one!)
Springs are worse than digital!
One cold day, or too much humidity, and your scale is shot!
Balance is the only true way to go...
Then again, I don't care about giving away a free 8/9ths of a gram! When the person is buying 1000g!
