rubberM terrarium Q.

Ok now i've seen alot a people using giant rubber tubs for
terrariums. My question is :
what method do most of you use to keep humidity up in
there when you completely fill the bottom with the shroom
bed.

Do you just put down the perilite and put you
straw casing directly on top of that?

Kind of funny you should suggest a Puerto Rican shringe.
I'm 1/2 puerto rican myself, and they sound great to me
I think I'll order some. Are they very good.

You are confusing a terrarium with a grow chamber. A terrarium allows you to use something like 2" of wet perlite to keep the humidity up. In the terrarium you would place your casings (in whatever container you cased them in) on top of the perlite. My friend chooses not to use a terrarium and just uses a Rubbermaid and places his substraight directly into the tub. One very important fact is that he cases with coco fiber and this hold moisture much better than othe casing materials. To keep humidity up - just use a fine mist spray bottle and fan two or three times a day.

I use a humidifier setup to keep up humidity in my rubbermaid container. Check out ShroomGod's humidifier tek in the Grow/Find section.
