best strain

I am planning on growing mushrooms for my first time and I want to know the best strain to buy. This is kind of a stupid question but I just want some personal opinions. An explanation of why they are your favorite (easy to grow, good trip etc.) would also be appreciated.
Thanks

This is not really an educated answer, but my first time I used Golden Teachers. They fruited well (when I cased them) and I didn't lose any to contams.

B+ seems to be a favorite for first-timers. It is a very forgiving strain which will tolerate temp flucuations.

I dont have enough experience to answer your question. I can however tell you I am growing for the first time as we speak using the B+ strain, it is day 12 of colonization and a few of my jars are about 80 % colonized! They are working wonderfully.

I like the B+ strain because those long, thick mushrooms feel good when I stick them up my ass.

I would suggest: B+, Ecquadors, Cambodians, or the Thailand strains. Good, fast colonizers and less prone to contamns.

It's a toss-up, B + or Ecuadors.

What's a strain with good yields? I've found out the hard way that both PF classic and Shroom Wizard's Gulf Coast strain suck in that regard.

Ecuadors are great because they produce wonderful flushes and are quite forgiving to most growing conditions. As always, however, I'll suggest that you sample the popular strains and pick which ones work best for you: PF, B+, Thai, etc.
