yeild question...
    #3608502 - 01/10/05 05:35 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

ok, 4 of my 7 cakes have more than begun to colonize, three seem to be at about the smae place(about half) but the other one is a bit behind, i was considering trying out casing with that last one when it colonizes, my question is, what kind of yeild should i expect from a casing with one cake???

Casing layer will supply that cake with more water and provide a microhumid climite that is very beneficial to primordia formation. The fact still remains that the casing will only be limited to the amount of nutrition of one cake.

One step above this is bulk which will increase your yeilds dramatically. Pasteurize some straw/poo/straw&poo, mix it with a crumbled cake, incubate it until its fully colonized, then case.
