Is there a big difference in casing materials?
    #3607809 - 01/10/05 03:10 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Is it enough of a difference for me to case in 60/40 as opposed to straight verm, to make me get the casing materials?
I don't know if i can get coir in this one horse town, is Jiffymix just as good?
Thanx...

Jiffymix works OK from what I hear...definitely better than pure vermiculite.

after toying around with various casing materials my
pers. favorite was a mix of coir/peat/verm.

To my understanding, Jiffymix is pete, coir , oyster and lime. I would prolly add verm also. and is ridiculously cheap(so I hear)
Say afoaf gave a foh, a sterile rye sub., would the foh be well advised to steer away from verm case and use the jiffy?
TY again

:peace:
