poppys
    #3607338 - 01/10/05 12:20 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

I've grown poppys a couple times with different strains and they've always started out as little weed looking bushes and i got some new seeds that looked normal and these have grown about an inch and a half straight up and have two little leaves ontop. does anyone know if this is a sommniferum plant?

Yes, my seedlings started as small straight up stems with 2 thin leaves on top.
Eventually they fell to the side and took on their usual cabbage look, like in prisoner's pic.

If they fall over it helps to mound some dirt around the base to prop it up. But you can also just leave it and they straighten out and use the part on the ground as support.
