instead of buying Brown Rice Flour i accidentally bought Brown Rice Protein. is this going to work the same or do i need to get more.

why waste the time and money on something that might not work or might not work as well. i bought organic brown rice flour for like $1.19 a lb.

i agree with JTHM plus the protein i would think has gone through a more complex processing so ur not going to get the nutrients that are needed. you can try it and u should let me know how it works but I wouldn't if u don't have spores/jars to spare I really doubt its going to do as well as the flour but i tend to think it would still grow.

Luckily we live in a a time of receipts hehe =P Id recommend just taking it back(unless u bought it online which would be timely/hassle) and getting brf. Or if you have a grinder just get some brown rice and make it urself. Usually cheaper this way and many argue better. ~D

JTHM's thought is not so right in this hobby. In cultivation it's good to try new things and experiment with them. You might find stuff that nobody knew that could happen!
So don't be afraid! use your imagination and try new substrates or methods!

you could try it, yes, but i beleve it's too proccessed to have enough nutritional value for them.

if you don't want to go get some brown rice, rolled oats work just fine. :smile:
