Sometimes there are artists that always come up in "Best music" posts. Tool, radiohead, etc. However, in these same posts, Eyedea isn't often mentioned. So, some of you motherfuckers may not have heard Eyedea yet. Since this is a problem, I'm putting it up on soulseek in the shroomery room so you can download. Download that shit and take some mushrooms or some green and listen to it with headphones. Do it now. It's good. This guy is enlightened. It's all very psychedelic stuff. This guy makes maynard look like a kid who broke into a new age bookstore. (they explore similar lyrical themes of child abuse, mediocrity, etc.) Tracks to be extra sure to grab. If you like thinking about things you will like these. I'll even recommend some songs and provide some comments. Philosophy/psychology/ethnogenic music (now in order): Here for you - Eyedea trips a lot and raps about the ethnogenic religious experience. The Dive (pt 1 & 2) - pt 1 describes Eyedeas progression from a smart kid to someone who becomes more skeptical, studies reality, uses drugs, and has a psychotic break. Not spoiling part two, but listen to them in order it's great. Birth of a Fish - A drug induced discussion between eyedea and the fish over who lives in the artifical world. Eyedea talks about realizing he is in the same situation as the fish. Glass - A great one about a glass cathedreal that could shatter. How Much Do You Pay - A story about eydea's encounter with a bum who used to be a lawyer who plays the drums on a street corner. The bum tells him 'make money and die thats the american way, it don't matter what name you gave the bucket that you play." Wierd Side - Eyedea talks about being a shroomerite :P Paradise - A song about the parasitic relationships that america glamorizes. Color my world mine - Eyedea paints a picture of an artist who stops dreaming and then stops believing in reality. Battle stuff: Big shots - Eyedea rips the competition. Download them they will be up soon. I'll put copies of the recommended sample songs in 'recommended' but to call them recommended isn't to imply the others aren't. Discuss this great shit it needs to spread in the psychedelic community. Stuff is up
