Shroomberry Cocktail

For those that are looking for better ways to ingest, below in my simple recipe that reduces nausea and extracts more of the goodies.

2/3 cup Cranberry Juice (grocery store)
1/8 tsp Vit C Crystals (health food store)
1 - 3 gms Dried Shroomies (depending on your level of dosage)

The cranberry juice is good for the system, flushes out the kidneys and such. Cranberry juice is said to help clean even THC out of the body. In my opinion this makes a great base juice for extraction. http://www.oceanspray.com/prod_cjc.htm

The Vit C crystals you buy from the health food store. It can cost around $10.00 for 4 oz bottle. But a bottle will last you a very, very long time. Vit C helps bind with the psilocybin and psilocin to make it absorb into the system more effeciently. There are many debates on this but over the years I feel myself that its proven to enhance the same amount chewed. Vit C is definately proven to reduce degradation and is used commonly in food canning to help preserve. You will notice that it never turn the juice blue which means that the chemicals are stabilized. Even try it with water, the water will stay water colored, hehe. You want to coffee grind or pound the dried dosage into as fine a powder as possible. Then throw the ingredients in and blend for a minute, then shut off and wait a minute or so. Do this about 3 to 4 times to make for around 5 minutes or so for this proccess. This will help to soften the shroom fibers and extract more goodies.

Drink all, do not strain. You can sip this over a 15 minute period to slow down the blast of all at once that can scare some people.

I personally feel that this method produces better CEV's. Maybe with larger doses of eaten you get the same, but for those that have stomach discomfort, this is a good recipe. Orange juice is ok, but for those with a sensitive stomach, the acid can really make things just as bad. If you do the OJ method, try cranberry juice just once.

The only thing I worry about in additives is slowing the extraction and tenderizing of the shroom fiber. The Vit C and the cranberry pretty much makes the shroom taste a zero.

One thing I am going to try for shits and giggles is some Papaya enzyme. I bought the all natural mix which has the enzyme and some actual papaya in a chewable pill. I think it would be interesting to chew one right after drinking. PF says this reduces nausea when eating dried, man it could really work wonders with already ground and soaked in the cranbery and Vit C.

I have been researching digestive aids lately and they say stuff like Papaya also causes better absorption of nutrients (aka magic). Never hurts to try shit ya know.
