Any of you use them? How did they work out?
Thanks.

I did once. Thought they were to pricey for what they really are. But if you can't afford to put a chunck of cash into a good PC and supplies, then this may be a good alturnative. I do feel the yeild was far less than it should have been. Casing them would have got me alot further. But as for learning the cycle of the mushroom life, priceless. It did let me do no real work and enjoy watching them grow.

Around how many pints or quarts you think are in a large bag? You just let them fruit from the bag eh?
Thanks.

The small mycobag is probably around 3-4 pints worth of substrate, just a guess. The small ones are 1 pound, the large ones are 4 pounds.

all of this is user error. the bag is just the container of the substrate. mycobags are a hell of a lot cheaper than buying jars of substrate online. Of course, doing jars or bags yourself is the best bet. You can order presterilzed bags and still have all the mycology work except preperation of substrate. colonized substrate is colonized substrate, it doesn't matter what container it's in.
