Ok, I haven't been to this forum in a while. I just read a post that said the sporechicks sent contaminated syringes that supposedly had bacterial spinal meningitis in them. I recently bought a kit from them that had the pinkish/purple contams in them. I also touched one of the cakes out of curiosity. Am I gonna die? No really, Is this true? Please someone fill me in with this.

I find it hard to believe that the Sporechicks would send syringes containing spinal meningitis. Did someone send the sample to a lab somewhere to confirm this? Doubt it...

You can't put spinal meningitis in a syringe  It's all in your head

There is no rumor 5 eople all had the same thing
After noticing the thread Ryche posted about possible meningitis from this kind of mold.
No one said there was meningitis in the syringe it was the tipe of mold that could cause meningitis.

Don't worry. I touched my cakes too before I found what the purple/pink evil could 'possibly' be. It's no big deal unless you had an open infected wound and rubbed it into the contamination. :)> I'd throw those jars out rather than handling the contents just to be extra safe however...either that or soak them in bleach(contents and all) for several hours. My aquantince just knocked up some jars last week with a Hawk's Eye syringe btw. Nothing but good healthy looking growth so far. Thanks Hawk's Eye. Those SC syringes were definitely seriously contaminated...hopefully their next batch will be fine. Perhaps it had something to do with their move. Very bad start for a 'newbie' but I don't hold it agains't them. $hit happens sometimes and there's nothing you can do about it.

First of all i am not trying to start rumors. Secondly, this is what i read in another post. I'm sure this was all a misunderstanding but i just wanted to get a better understanding of this whole situation that is going on. I don't have anything against the SCs for sending me contaminated goods it's just bad business. As for all of you guys in this post, thanks for your feedback. It made me feel a little better but then i'm always paranoid about everything :-).
