I harvested my first flush 2 days ago and ate some yesterday. I just noticed some green mold. Does green mold kill you? I don't think it was at the surface of the casing layer when I picked them. When I saw it I picked the last 2 shrooms that were growing. Any input would be great.

umm...i've eaten shrooms off of a contaminated casing. if it's dark green and spotted around then it's probably trichoderma and i've eaten shrooms from casings w/ that stuff on it. i'm still sorta normal =). haha. i'm not sure about eating shrooms with the mold on it tho?

No the mold was never on the shrooms. Not even really near the shrooms, but i dought that matters. I think I would be at least having stomach pains if I was gonna die.

I don't think you will die unless one is struck in your throat...

You probably won't die, since you're alive and kicking today, after you've already eaten the shrooms. However, you need to cut out the green area with a clean knife, as well as an inch or two of the surrounding area, then replace the area you cut out with more casing (if you haven't done this already). Spray the whole casing with a solution of water/hydrogen peroxide at a ratio of approx. 5:1. That should stop the further growth of the contamination.

Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you DIE!!! Fungi are notorious for long latency periods during which the victim feels fine, only to keel over and die of liver and kidney failure a day or two later.
Seriously, I don't think you have to worry; I don't think contaminated substrate is nearly as dangerous as it's reputed to be. Shroom Wizard for instance has been eating "contaminated" mushrooms for something like 30 years, and is still alive and kicking.
