How do I use this pressure cooker?
    #3597167 - 01/08/05 02:49 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I just purchased a Mirro 4.2 quart pressure cooker from Meijer for $25.99(btw this one hold 4 half pint jars). I opened it up and it didnt have any instructions in the box. On the box it says it has automatic control 5psi 10psi and 15psi. It doesnt have any dials on it..was wondering if someone could help me out.

Thanks

How do I use this pressure cooker?

Ares awares : very carefully.

A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

I imagine it has weights. More weight = more pressure.

If it uses weights, look on the bottom of them (weight). Sometimes their stamped with the poundage. If that is the case TAKE this advise...as your building pressure do so slowly, and allow the weight to rock gently. Mind you it might take abit of time for the pressure to build.

Iceberg,
The Mirro pressure cooker you purchased comes w/ a weight that rests on the pressure vent fitted unto the lid. That weight should have three different ways it can rest on the vent each one w/ a different pressure setting ie. 5,10 and 15pounds per square inch.
If you have never used a pc before start w/ low heat. As said, the weight should rock very gently w/ each pressure setting.:) nik
