abhorts: potent or not?

I posted this on the wrong board, so here goes again:

What do you think, are abhorts really as potent as full-grown shrooms? I ate twice as many abhorts today as I did last weekend, but only half as many mature shrooms, and last weekend's trip was deeper. My suspicion is that abhorts may well have been proven to contain more psilocin/cybin per unit weight but that this was misinterpreted as meaning that 1 abhort is actually as potent as 1 full-grown shroom. Why would anyone bother to even grow mature shrooms if they could just pick them as soon as they're an inch high, and achieve the same effect?

Sorry, I guess it should be obvious, but the PF Tek says only:

Some of the first mushrooms to form are "abhorts" (convoluted caps, gnarly stems and stunted growth), and ironically they are primo in magic alkaloids. They are even more powerful in magic than the stately beauties that will soon dominate the cake...

and it seemed to be saying that individual abhorts were as strong as mature shrooms.  If that were that only the case :wink:

Of course PF is going to say that abhorts(sic) are superdooper and actually a good thing, since his strain seems to produce very little other than aborts.

Hell I'm glad to hear you say that, I thought I was just a lousy cultivator. I've gotten all of nine full-grown shrooms out of my big casing so far and a zillion abhorts. What's a better strain, then? I'm moving on to Pans now because I need buttloads of cubes to trip, but I'd still like to try a different kind of cubes anyway.
