When it comes to music, are there any bands or songs that you particularly like but wont openly admit to listening to unless someone asked you?
:faded:
right now, for me, its that song "let go" by frou frou

The whole Garden State soundtrack is really good, I don't know what is so guilty about it.

Scrolling through my mp3's I found these four that I blush over:

Vertical Horizon
Andrew WK
Taking Back Sunday
and that Mary Mo song from Dumb and Dumber

insane clown posse. their music is shit but i think its just so funny how they think their making "good" music. and with their crappy clown lyrics it makes it even funnier.

the music sucks so much i dont even want to admit i listen to it.

duran duran, bro.. that's like, the anti-metal, but gay ass 80s synth pop has a soft spot with me. i can't stand 90s or current bullshit, but the 80s just does it for me.

other than that, i normally won't tell the metalheads i meet IRL i got a thing for the new in flames albums or the 90s megadeth albums..

I thought Reroute was pretty damn good.

The band was going experimental and all the fans started calling sellout. So they decided to listen to the fans and go back and do some more back to basics shit (Basically selling out to their own fans right there). I don't think at this point they really have anybody to sell out TO (besides you the loyal fanbase). They're just too underground (relatively) and not really fit for radio.

That was my impressions anyways, I only gave Soundtrack a skimthrough. They went too death and lost all that sweet melody they strived to achieve.

My biggest guilty pleasure was probably Gamma Ray and Helloween (although I haven't listened to either in a while)

Pretty much any power metal has been a guilty pleasure when I was in highschool.

Sonata Arctica
Dragonforce
Blind Guardian

And countless others.

I might actually go download some Sonata Arctica

Ya, that'd be nice:

I'm home again, I won the war, and now I am behind
your door. I tried so hard to obey the law, see the
meaning of it all. Remember me? Before the war.
I'm the man who lived next door. Long ago...

As you can see, when you look at me, I'm pieces of
what I used to be. It's easier if you don't see me
standing on my own two feet. I'm taller when I sit
here still, you ask are all my dreams fulfilled.
They made me a heart of steal, the kind them bullets
cannot see

Nothing's what it seems to be,
I'm a replica, I'm a replica
Empty shell inside of me
I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me...

that's exactly it, whoRacle[spelling it that way looks kickass heh] was just the shit. then they put Reroute and Soundtrack out, I dig it.. but everyone else hated it. like, i told a few people I know i was into it, and they laughed. wtf ? i don't know, they're different, but i like them.

plus, have you seen Bjorn Gelotte's new look? he's a total viking..
