How long should I soak Rice for???

If im going to try using brown and white rice as substrate in my jars how long should I soak the rice for???

I dont think there is a reason to soak rice at all, grain is to be soaked not rice. Grind it up

Try making it as the bag says, but with a 1/4 less water and no salt.

well the bag says to boil, wouldnt boiling the rice make it too soft??

Just cook it like the pack says, but if u want an extra kick you should cook with 1/2 drinking coffee and 1/2 water instead of 100% water.
I'd recommend putting some verm in with the rice if u can.. but its not needed if u spread the rice into the jars really airy
