If I use straight verm, I'll lay a quarter in layer of verm, inch and a half of spawn, and a quarter inch of verm on top.

If it bleeds for a week...dont trust it

shoot for a 1.5-2 inch layer of colonized substrate.

i don't use a bottom casing layer...

i also suggest using something besides straight verm for your casings. i tried straight verm and it sucked really bad. coco coir/verm or peat moss/verm is the way to go.

when doing cakes, do you do a dunk/coldshock, then roll in verm and double end case? i get the most out of my cakes if i do that to them.
