(im)potency of abhorts

What do you think, are abhorts really as potent as full-grown shrooms? I ate twice as many abhorts today as I did last weekend, but only half as many mature shrooms, and last weekend's trip was deeper. My suspicion is that abhorts may well have been proven to contain more psilocin/cybin per unit weight but that this was misinterpreted as meaning that 1 abhort is actually as potent as 1 full-grown shroom. Why would anyone bother to even grow mature shrooms if they could just pick them as soon as they're an inch high, and achieve the same effect?

Abhorts are reputed to be stronger than mature mushrooms, but this is only by weight. If an abhort contained more magic than a mature mushroom, this means you could trip balls off 1/2 gram of them. It'll never happen.

Yeah, that would be awesome though if you could just pick your shrooms when they're little; I've been having a lot of trouble getting mature mushrooms lately, but pick half a dozen abhorts from each of my casings every day.
