oops sorry for the mixup.
BTW great reply as usual. the information was clear, concise and understandable.
wish more folks would try the turkey pan thing. my friends cost a dollar. he likes it cuz he doesn't have to use a cooking pot to do it and it doesn't leach nutrients out

Has this thread turned to crap? Yes! And yes I am a "city boy" (if you consider a city boy someone who is from "the city") but I spent alot of time on a "farm" with horses and I don't consider myself a "city boy" or a "country boy" for that matter. I don't classify myself. I don't evaluate myself. I just am. I try to make people laugh, I try to have fun, and I do not like evil. But I sense there is alot of evil in this thread.
Most of the time I know what I'm talking about.
And to egghead. I simply cannot take anyhting you say seriously. Most of your posts are pretty informative and correct but with that fucking guy in your picture I laugh and imagine him telling me what you wrote and I just can't take that bum seriously. Why have the mods not closed this thread?
And Billy W. I wasn't trying to discredit you I was just telling you and othrs of a way to test the ovens temp. When I pastuerized some castings in the oven I do remember the casting temp to be about 20 degrees lower than the oven temp.

And MAIA I know what cow and horse manure looks, smells, & feels like. And yes it does smell like shit when you pastuerize it (I have heard that it dosen't if you get the old manure; most of mine was old and soil smelling but some was new and still smelled like cow poo and it smelled like ass when it was pastuerized).

What are you talking about? I followed you in adopting an avatar from uglypeople.com. Of course it was done to (further) handicap those that judge on appearances. I can't see the harm in that.

No flame war Tom. When i said "city boy" i wasn't judging your knowloge, it's just most people living in town don't have "that" touch to handle with animals, flies , shit and whatever dirtyness you might think of, sometimes i walk with no shoes by my field at 6:00 am, helps killing my feet mycosis. And yes old manure doesn't smell that bad, use 5 to 6 month aged dung, it's the best.
And please, violence is the weapon of incompetents, don't use it so often ;) .
