    #358566 - 07/21/01 11:29 PM (22 years, 8 months ago)

OK, those of us that really want to know about the Ps. cyanescens found in Kentucky last fall is a fact.
MJ, please elaborate. Please give more info that I could not give. Also, please give more details, as I am very interested at this point. I'm seeing the most potent mushroom known to man growing in the bluegrass capitol of the world. Kentucky.................................Ps. cyanescens.......................................I'm happy, I'm really happy, despite.............Stay cool!-Levi7.

Levi7,

As I previously mentioned the paper is in press and as soon as the journal publishes the information I will post more than I already have posted.

And no Bluemeanie,
Bably P. cyanescens mushrooms are two to three times more potent than azurescens and Many people are no saying that the P. azureens lose potentcy over a short period of less than sicx months, although I really doubtr that any one at the shroomery or elsewhere who might accidently find a loarge collection of P. azurescens w2ould be able to keep them that long since everyone is crying out for mushrooms.

Anyway have a shroomy shroom day

Have a shroomy day and may all of your days be shroomy.

Yep, baby cyans are some potent mushrooms.
I have not yet found Ps. azurescens and probably won't. Although, it strikes my interest, considering many, many people claim the Azures are by far the most potent.
I gotta agree with MJ. Stay cool!-Levi7.

Also, Ps. cyanescens were found late October of 2000. They were dried and then frozen and haven't seemed to lose any potency at all since then. Strong mushrooms.
Stay cool!-Levi7.

Sorry Alex, I live in Washington state. I posted this concerning the fact that a Potent Psilocybe has been found in Kentucky, Psilocybe cyanescens.
It's very interesting, because to my knowledge, Ps. cyanescens has only been found from San Francisco north along the I-5 corridor of the PNW to B.C. Canada.
This mushroom popping up in the wild in Kentucky is a strange occurance, but good news, nonetheless.
Stay cool and happy hunting, Alex!-Levi7.

Yep, those be Psilocybe cyanescens, blumeanie. I you were to find a patch and were to eat only a few of the small ones, before the cap expands and appears only to be a small domed cap mushroom, then you'd be suprised at the potency.
I'm not doubting your hunting skills, but the ones held in your hand resemble Ps. eucalyptus pics I've ran across. It could be the lighting, though. Ps. eucalyptus, I believe is a mighty potent one in itself! Stay cool!-Levi7.

Yeah - i actually posted those pics as being Ps. Eucalyptus at one stage... However someone in the know has explained that they were not... The Ps. Eucalyptus that i have found have been much larger, hollow stemed and sometimes with a blue ring around the attached viel... And they are VERY nice too...
