Bluing and Mycellium Inside Harvested Mushroom
    #3585302 - 01/05/05 07:17 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

Tell me that this baby is okay, its my very first one ever grown! I found mycellium and intense bluing inside the stem when I cut it to dry. Can I eat the mycellium on the stem?

Yes, the mycelium is perfectly edible. The blueing occurs when the mushroom is bruised. It is the psilicybin that actually causes the blue color as I understand it.
