in place of a tub in tub would be work just as well if you used a single tub and placed the jars in there given that you make sure the water doesnt go any higher then say where the vermiculite starts in the jars? Using 1 pint jars so theyre taller i think having the submersible heater would heat the water more evenly given greater volume and if not say use a bigger container and put the heater on the opposite side of the jars. i know water may drip down in the container too so i was thinking use it without the top. hope to hear your opinions :laugh:

I wouldn't recommend that. that environment would be too humid, and the water would transfer too much heat to the jars. massive contamination would surely result.

I tried that. It was a complete disaster. Heck, I didn't even get contams to grow :smile:. TiT is the way to go!
