...Musicians of The Shroomery...
    #3582914 - 01/05/05 05:38 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I'm sure there are a plenty of people here with creativity to spare, but I'm more interested in how many musicians frequent here & what they sound like.

Let me be the first to share:

"Sometimes, Fake Realism is represented by a 3-5 piece live band with a borderline organic sound and at other times, It's Mike and Tim skating along the soundscapes constructed by keyboards, samplers and cult classic movie samples. I could throw together a bunch of words like "ethereal," "melodic" and "aggressive" to try and describe the audio complex they create, but the truth is...you won't understand until you listen for yourself."

I showed you mine now you show me yours.

-Tim

Strong influence from Boards of Canada, Shpongle, Chemical Brothers, and the voices in my head.

I try to be a musician... don't know if their r certain requirements to it... but I would like to think some of the music i put down is artistic.

Here is a link to the latest joint we droped.
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=470865&T=3054

Defiantly check out the other songs called "What you came to do" and "the one inside of us" in his songs page.

I guess any artists goal is to get as much people to hear it as possible so check it out. And if you like it let us know... Peace

Kremilin I am feeling this for sure. You should get a little more equipment so it comes in a little more clearly. But good music is good music.

Blastrid I am in the middle of your first song on that page... thats intense... conitinue doing what you came to do. That crazy... like the phycadelic feel to it, and they way you transition the rythem.

Murex-

I really have three sounds- one is chaotic drill n' bass, the other is goa/trance-like, and the last of my sounds is ambient.

FakeRealism, I downloaded ALIVEinsiDEADream.. It has a good sound but the song structure needs messed with.  The beginning just kinda flattens out instead of opening up.. I think it would sound great with more of a rock sound structure and louder, stronger, vocals
+ the generic bass hit w/ delay dosent fit the song imo

getting there

I agree completely actually.  That was the pilot version of the song.  We recorded a much better version that's almost complete.  I'd put a clip up, but the mastering isn't done yet.  The guitar is more agressive, the vocals are more agressive, there's a new erie little piano part.  It sounds so much better now.

I tried the links for Fake Realism and Stereopattern but neither worked. Care to update your links fellas?

I am now listening to Slave of the Wave. Very groovy! I just wish I lived in the Netherlands too... I'm sure it would help my creativity.

I'll get to the rest of you posters there in my own good time.

Here is a link to my (one-man-so-far) band: The Lysergic Tide

I'm learning.  Been playing guitar about 4 years, play blues inspired stuff.  Big fan of srv, hendrix, gilmour, but also like artists like buckethead, satriani, ect.
