I went to walmart to spend a $10 gift card and just had to spend it on supplies. I got another 30 gallon rubbermaid and a dozen pint sized jars. The thing is I really didn't need these things. I already have 4 dozen jars and 7 rubbermaids of varying sizes. I also went to a farm supply store to buy some rye grass seed, but of course it's winter, so no grass seed for me. I did buy a 11 pound bag of shelled corn though. The cashier asked if I was going to feed some squirrels, at which time I told him "Of course not, I'm going to grow mushrooms silly." No, I didn't say that. I think when questioned next time buying supplies I'm going to answer questions with questions, Q:"So what is this for?" A:"What do you think it's for?" "Who told you to ask me this?" "Your not recording this are you?" I'd like to hear some funny supply shopping stories from you guys.
I live in Scotland, so there aren't any farm supply stores, there's nobody who sells rye grass seed for less than $18 a kilogram, rubbermaid containers cost at least ten times as much as they do in the states, and you can't buy canning jars anywhere here, at all.
