if you are going to be grinding any amount of rice regularly, a coffee grinder just won't cut it, neither will a blender...

you need a dedicated grain grinder...

Electric ones can be had for around $130, they grind enough rice for two dozen jars in less than a minute.

Corona grain mills are hand cranked devices that clamp to the tabletop, they will grind a pound of rice in a minute but require strength and stamina to operate.  The can be had for $20- $40.

There are several other grain mills available as well, at varying prices.

Do a search for 'grain mill'. :laugh:

sure they will... you just have to know what your needs are
and what to look for, the top grinder is only $23 the lower is $190
but it will grind all day, most hand grinders can be adjusted
to a coarse or fine grind with little effort, simply tighten a nut.

Hell yeah. I didn't realize that hand cranked mills were that cheap. Do you think it would be a problem to grind coffee through one? I realize that it would grind it but the weight of coffee is a hell of a lot lighter than grain. The only reason that I want to mill is that I don't go through enough brf to purchase it premilled. I worked in a bakery for a while and know from experience that grain last much longer unmilled. Grains start to lose nutrients once they are milled. I think its cheaper anyways to buy the actual grain.
