Casing Question

My foaf's friendly frog has just picked a lovely bunch of Cambodias from 3 of her 6 casings. She now wants to strart a second flush but she wants to know if she should simply 'deep scratch' and mist her casing layers or should she add a totally new and fresh casing layer? What do you think?

I would deep scratch and resume misting.
