Ive always been a outdoors guy who doesnt like being inside at all. im tryin to figure is culinary would be a good move for me. Plus what are some good schools for it..and what does the money look like for a chef ect..thanks all

Take a look at this to get some general information pertaining to the industry in question.

As for should you do it or not, only you can know the answer to that.

If you love to cook, go for it. A friend of mine is a chef at one of Brennan's restaurants in New Orleans and makes a great living. He went to school and then went up to Alaska and worked as a cook for some oil company where he was cooking for all the guys working on rigs, pipelines, etc. He said that was a great experience and he made good money doing it and after that he felt he could get a job anywhere.

Many more jobs become available after culinary school other than just cheff.

Ive worked in food service all my life and I WISH I would have been to culinary school rather than taking Horticulture at UCD.

I say take it and keep your options open...
