cyanescens is always spelled in small case
Genus: Psilocybe
Specie: cyanescens
Genus is always capitilized, specie is small case
Specie names are also always in italics if you want to be REAL correct.

What's your deal? Everything Ralphster does you feel the need to correct? Do people really care that the "C" in Cyanascens is upper or lower case? Couldn't you have messaged him and told him? Guess not. Guess you have to start yet another flame war.

Flame war? You are the only one to respond, I don't see any war.
And all I did is try to educate people on the proper syntax of scientific names. It's a pet peeve, r. isn't the first person I've corrected, nor will he be the last..
There might be some people out ther who might appreciate some helpful information.
It was in NO way attended to be a 'flame.
