New Year's Resolutions

What are your resolutions for this year?
One of mine is that I'm going to set 2 dates which will be the only 2 times this year that I trip. The first will be at least 6 months from now. Tomorrow I'm going through my calendar and setting my goals, etc. So, what do you all have planned for 2005?

I'm gonna try to stop swearing...
I say at least 200 a day, it's gotten very bad as of late.

I know what you mean, sometimes it is easier to count the words that aren't swear words.

I am pretty good about not swearing, except I do it a lot when I'm typing in the shroomery and on other boards. I should cut that out. It's unnecessary. I know people who curse so much they don't even realize it. Dropping the F bomb in a public place is totally uncool imo.

Same here. I had a bad experience with alcohol 7 months ago. I haven't had more than a social amount of alcohol since then. But, on new years eve I decided to drink copious amounts and hope that the last episode was nothing more than an isolated incident. It turns out that it was not.
I got roaring drunk and did some things that I now deeply regret. Such things include but are not limited to getting pissed off and repeatedly punching the side of my truck resulting in multiple large dents down the side as well as two very sore wrists and knuckles.
My emotions are in the most pain right now, however. This is due to the things I said to those involved when all they wanted was to help me in my deliriously drunken state. I've sworn off alcohol and cannot ever drink it again, lest I make a liar out of myself.

To make 2005 better than last year. To get a new job that I like somewhat better with decent pay. To eat more food. To move out by September.

I've resolved that I've no need for new resolutions this year. I've spent the last four years working on living in the now, and not concerning myself with things beyond my control.. a tough battle and one that will never be won once and for all, but I've realized that I've done a good enough job since I live my life the way I want to each and every day, and that's an accomplisment I'm most proud of and much contented for having strived for and reached.
I suppose you could say my resolution is to live as I have, until I don't anymore.

I'm trying to reach a point where I'm happy with the way I'm living. Sounds like you're there. Nice job.
