hey I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some information on "bad acid"? I know everyone has heard of it, but what exactly is it? Is there really such thing? Can you make a batch of "bad acid". Not weak but bad, as in a bad high, more nausea, paranoia, higher toxicity, etc. I know LSD has an extremely low toxicity level, but Ive goten sick on it along with countless other folks I know. Im wondering if this could maybe vary from batch to batch, and Im not referring to other contaminants in the acid. The brown acid at woodstock, anyone know what was wrong with it?

maybe you didn't get real acid but some research chemical like 5-meo-amt

If I had to guess, I would say that bad acid is acid that is either too low of a dose, or acid that has been destroyed by something like heat, or as stefan suggests, some other substance altogether.

bad acid=negative effects not bad acid=weak. Not research chemicals. I know when I take LSD.... Ive tripped well over 100 times since 1994. Beavis and buttheads, felix the cat, orange sunshines, etc. I have never had acid that made everyone sick, or have a bad trip, thats what Im asking about. My question is if you can make lesser quality acid in the lab by fucking up somehow. Maybe its a myth.

Nah, acid is acid is acid. I think what you're getting at is impurities. But I would think that most people who go to the trouble of making LSD would go to the trouble of making it pretty pure.

At the avg dose levels i dont think impurities mean shit either. Its either LSD or not from my expierence. Every trip is different in its own way. Ive had 2 very dif type expierences from a hits .25" away from the other ones.
Bad acid could also possibly be(in the past more likely) extemely potent stuff that even 1 is too much for people. I think this was the case with the "brown acid" they talk about at woodstock.

It could be 5-meo-AMT, that is sometimes sold as acid, and it makes you very sick on the come up. I know this first hand as I was sold 5-meo as LSD awhile back...made me and a couple of my friends pretty sick. Very wierd funky trip.

no i know what that shit is and i could tell the difference between that and acid.....
Vaka do you think if already made ascid sits around to long some of these impurities may be amplified from exposure to light heat etc?

I heard back in the day that the "bad brown acid" was in fact DOB, because the DOB dosage was almost as small as the LSD dosage. I believe it is just propaganda though and never been actually proven.

I've only had acid once and I'm POSITIVE it was LSD. It was brown and it treated me just fine. I had a really great trip with no bad physical symptoms, so the color brown doesn't necessarily mean it's bad acid. In fact, it probably means it's pure. The problem with the brown acid at woodstock was that it was too strong for a lot of people to handle, even with just one hit.

How about all the dif types of acid like fluff, silver, lavendar. (i know they are all LSD, so dont flame me).
Those names refer to potency i believe. And if some acid is less potent than other acid it will provide a different trip.
Ive had acid that gave me horrible muscle cramps and made me gassy, other times ive had acid that barely elevated my heart beat.
I thiink its caused by impurities in the LSD.
Less pure LSD=Bad acid

No. You don't notice the difference between lavendar and champaigne except at thumbprint doses, so say the ones who really know.

I once had about 30 drops of some LSD that tasted like liqour and looked like tequilla.. It was pretty shitty stuff.. It was LSD, but the trips off it sucked (You could take 10 drops and be totally fucked out of your mind, but the visuals were very weak).. The lavendar I had tried before that was far superior.. I believe this shit was the brown acid you guys are speaking of.

Nah....the brown acid they're talking about was at the original woodstock. I don't know what you got...but it sounds super shitty, esp. if you're saying lavender was a lot better.
